Clybourne Park, a play by writer/actor Bruce Norris, will be playing at the Caldwell Theater in Boca Raton from now until February 2. The play is in response to Lorraine Hansberry’s “A Raisin in the Sun”, a story which follows the experience of a black family’s move from the south side of Chicago to Clybourne Park, an entirely white neighborhood.
“Act I opens in 1959, as a white couple sells their home to a black family, causing uproar in their middle-class Chicago neighborhood. Act II transports us to the same house in 2009, when the stakes are different, but the debate is strikingly familiar.
